Teacher Recommendations for College
Hey there, Paly! If I taught you as a freshman in 2007-2008, or as a sophomore in 2008-2009, you might be thinking about college right about now. I will be willing to write a limited number of college recommendation letters, so if you're thinking about asking me, earlier is better. If you're interested, send me an email asking me to write you a letter of recommendation (recs@mrproctor.net). If I say yes, I will need the following from you:
- A cover sheet listing what you need from me, and when it needs to be submitted
- All the forms and envelopes (stamps attached) I'll need. If you have a choice, online applications are easier.
- Any materials you can provide that will help me write the best letter possible. (Consider: A resume, your application essay(s), papers you wrote in my class that you're proud of, a description of some of the highlights of your work in my class)
I have also been thinking about getting into the business of tutoring writing, helping students craft their application essays. If you're interested, get in touch. I hope you had a fantastic school year -- I miss you all!
