We are reading 1984 through several critical lenses. Our class discussions are supported by critical commentaries, and the conversation they spark, on this site.

Here are some ways you can navigate the conversation:

• My discussion group is a collection of the posts written by members of your discussion group--you have one member from each critical lens. You can browse other discussion groups by changing the URL: http://mrproctor.net/orwell/group/7/all, for example, will show all the posts from Period 7.
• My lens group is a collection of all the posts from your peers reading through the same critical lens as you are. These can be particularly helpful if you're feeling confused about your critical lens. You can browse other lens groups by changing the URL: http://mrproctor.net/orwell/lens/deconstruction/5, for example, will show Deconstruction posts from Period 5.
• My posts shows all the posts you have written.
• Model Posts is a collection of the very best posts (sortable by lens), with comments from me about what makes them strong. This is a good place to go if you're having trouble with a commentary or if you want to study for the 1984/Lens quiz.
